Nevis Bungee and Queenstown (NZ Day 5 Part_2)

Full with excitement and with some adrenalin in our blood stream we went to our next destination Nevis bungee centre. There we wanted to do two things.

1st - some of us wanted to do the bungee jump in a place where people did this for the first time.
2nd - and we wanted to try worlds highest swing.

Well we have to find the picture for actual jump taken by professional bungee jump team, and when we will find it we will post it here. Sorry about that and enjoy reading the rest!

So about my first bungee jump at the location where it was done for the first time in human history I (Valdis) can say that it wasn't that scary and hard as I thought it would be. For me there where no fear at all. I don't even know why, but I assume that it was because of the fact that I completely trusted the Nevis Bungee team and that was it. There was a count down "3, 2, 1, JUMP!!" and I was off at first time! I didn't even scream what most people do when they jump for the first time!! That surprised every one, and even I was surprised! Well I guess, that's how it is when you trust to people and company! :)

After me there was Martins turn and luckily his photos we have right away! :) What a great memories:

And now lets talk about the other thing what we did!! :D You really think that this was enough of adrenalin in our blood for one day??? :D If you do then you are wrong! :)
Because of this awesome location we where able to do and we did the Highest Swing In The World!! It was a short ride to the top of the highest point near by and then we took a look down and you can see our emotions in photos! They speak louder than the words!!

Guess what!! We have done a lot today but that is not it! Our plan was to go and get some rest in Queenstown but the thing is - Queenstown never sleeps and there is always some kind of action going on!! Because of this fact instead of going to Queenstown we went to see Arrowtown...

Arrowtown was on our way to Queenstown any way so it was an easy decision to see this historic town now when we have some time... It was short and easy ride, we parked our car near to the park where we had some lunch and then we went to see this quite historic town.

After a short walk around the Arrowtown we went to see Queenstown, but on our way we took a slight Detour. Once again it is a detour, but not without a reason. We wanted to see the scenic road across the mountain luckily we ended up at Coronet peak. Almost there but not quite, and still the view from top was awesome! Take a look at the view...

After a nice drive on a mountain road we finally where in the Queenstown. It was still early and we had time to walk around in day time, we did see the water front and discovered some interesting shops there but the most interesting part of Queenstown was evening where we visited few bars and two of them where somehow special for us! :)

The first one where we got some ice cold cocktails was Below Zero Ice Bar. It was our first time in an Ice bar where everything was made from ICE. Even the glass that we where drinking from was made from ice!! Before we went in the Ice Bar we got some jackets to keep us warm and yeah - it was warm for some time. Good that there is a time limit for a bar visit. Otherwise we would be frozen and probably drunk... :)

After the Bellow Zero Ice Bar we had to warm up a little bit and what could be better than themed Cowboy Bar. There are few reasons why we chose the Cowboy bar instead of any other bar in Queenstown:
  1. We love themed parties
  2. We enjoy themed places
  3. We like to play games
This bar and the previous one had it all and the best thing - they are located next door to each other on the same street!! How cool is that!! :) In the Cowboy bar we where playing games, we had some beers and definitely a great time!! The best thing there was the bull! :) I would say, you haven't been to Queenstown if you haven't ridden the Cowboys bull! We went all around USA and even in Texas we didn't find a working mechanic bull, but here it is! We had to try it and we DID!! :)

Well!! All I can say is that it was real FunDay Adventure day for us! We did so many things that we had never done in our life and it all happened in a single day! Fantastic! :)
If you want to see a place where we suggest to stay during the night, then take a look at our Road trip map here. We can suggest two places where one is free camping ground and the other one is Queenstown TOP 10 Holiday Park "Creeksyde".

See our next Adventure day in New Zealand as well! :)
